NCLEX Trainer

This is the question bank I wish someone had handed me before exam season. 2,663 questions — and every single one has been read and checked: keys verified, calculations recomputed, rationales made to actually agree with the answers. Where a question was wrong, it's been fixed or it's not in here. Nothing is copied from a US bank, so it's Canadian the whole way through — SI units, CNO and PHIPA, generic drug names.

It asks the way the exam asks: 40 unfolding case studies, bowtie and trend questions, SATA with partial credit — 634 next-gen items in all — and a detailed rationale with an Educational Objective on every question, so you learn why the right answer is right and why the others aren't.

How it works

Tutor mode teaches as you go — the rationale lands right after each question, while it's fresh. Exam mode is the full rehearsal: 70 questions, 3 hours, one case study, one bowtie, one trend. CAT practice tests adapt to every answer, 85 to 150 questions, and end with a pass/fail estimate and the curve of how your ability moved. And the diagnostic report shows you exactly where you're weak — by section, by topic, by question type — with a drill button beside each weak spot.

The loop that works: pick a section, learn in Tutor mode, rehearse in Exam or CAT mode, then live in My Misses until they stop being misses. Save the stubborn ones as flashcards. Sign in and your progress — bars, misses, CAT history, all of it — follows you between devices.

ECG Rhythm Trainer

The deep end, in a good way. Part 1 is 24 rhythms on 6-second Lead II strips — sinus, atrial, ventricular, junctional, the blocks, all of it. Parts 2 and 3 move on to full 12- and 15-lead ECGs and axis deviation. Movable calipers throughout, so you measure it yourself instead of guessing.

  • 12 & 15-lead ECGs in Part 2 — V4R, V8 and V9 included, clues named lead by lead

ABG Interpretation

The whole acid–base read, start to finish. Every case is generated fresh — real numbers that actually add up — so you can drill it until the steps run themselves.

Ventilators

The ventilator, minus the fear. Every mode and every setting, taught on a fake vent that shows real numbers — because nobody learns vents from a paragraph.

  • Every mode — volume control, pressure control, pressure support, SIMV, CPAP and BiPAP, side by side
  • The fake vent — a screen that behaves like the real thing; you answer from what it shows
  • Read → understand → apply — chains that start with “what is the pressure support?” and end with what to do about it
  • Alarm drills — in Challenge, the alarm fires, one number is wrong, and you call what's most likely happening

How it works

How a module works

Every module here follows the same three rules. If a future one doesn't, it doesn't ship.

  1. Short rounds you can finish on a break

    No hour-long sessions, no setup. Open it, run a round, close it. If it can't survive a fifteen-minute break and a cold coffee, it's too long.

  2. Feedback that tells you why

    Not just right or wrong — the clues that mattered, and why the similar-looking answer wasn't it. A red X teaches you nothing. A reason does.

  3. Built from real placement situations

    The scenarios come from things students actually get tripped up by on the floor — not exam-bank trivia. And it's education only: practice here, clinical judgment out there.

Hi, I'm Dayo.

I'm an ICU nurse in Toronto and I precept nursing students on placement — which mostly means watching smart people freeze the first time a monitor does something interesting. It isn't a knowledge problem. It's a reps problem.

So I started building the reps. These tools are mine — designed, written and argued with between shifts, tested on my own students before they land here. I'm also working through a master's on the side (MN–Primary Health Care NP at TMU), so yes, I know exactly how little spare time you have. That's why everything here is short.
